Outlook True Archive v.1.0.12 Released

V.10.012 of Outlook True Archive is now available for general download.

This new version adds the following capabilities:

* Ability to automatically select all folders when a source is chosen
* [CONTROL]+Click Node in folder tree does not auto select children
* Ability to create an archive.pst if one does not exist.
* Added more diagnostic info to log file.
* Allow updating of Last Modified time stamp in the PST

NOTE: Last Modification Time stamp Updating

The ability to update the "Last Modified" timestamp has been added with this release. This will allow users to modify the mail messages timestamp inside the PST.

In order to update the time stamp inside a PST the computers Real Time Clock must be reset to the relevant date and time for each message processed. Resetting the RTC can have a negative impact on open documents and running applications. It is strongly advised that all documents and running applications are closed when running such a task.

If you are running an Update Timestamp task on a Windows Vista machine then you must run Outlook True Archive with administrator privileges.

Outlook True Achive

SMSware are delighted to release Outlook True Archive; the ultimate archive tool for Microsoft Outlook PST files.

You may have discovered that Microsoft Outlook selects messages for archiving in an unusual way. Outlook determines the message age from the Sent date/time, the Received date/time, or from the message's "Last Modified" date/time, whichever is later. The following actions will change a message's "Last Modified" date/time:

• Forwarding
• Replying
• Replying to All
• Editing and Saving
• Moving or Copying (depending on the destination)

This means that you reliably archive mail based on its sent or received date. Outlook True Archive is designed to workaround this "feature" of Outlook. Outlook True Archive's features include:

• Select items by date received, date sent or date last modified.
• Move / Copy / Delete matching items to the destination.
• Preserves all message time stamps in destination.
• Select source and destination for moving mail out of or back into your main PST file.
• Choose to ignore or respect the "No Archive" flag.

• Set the archive task priority to Normal, Medium or High.

Long SMS Text Message Support In SMSWare Business

The ability to send long (also known as concatenated) messages is built into SMSware Business. When configuring the MO Console the Administrator can define the Maximum SMS length to be used by SMSWare Messenger clients. There are a couple of things to be aware of when sending long messages:

• A long message is actually delivered to the recipient handset as a sequence of standard 160 character SMS texts. Each message in the sequence will be charged by your network operator at your standard SMS rate.

• The Maximum SMS Length setting is not a multiple of 160 characters. When your network operator splits a long message into a sequence of standard 160 ones, each message in the sequence carries some overhead that identifies its position within the sequence. This allows the individual parts to be delivered out of order and still be reassembled into the full message.

• The recombination of the each message in the sequence to create the original full version is performed by the recipients’ handset. Almost all modern phones have this capability and will display the long message correctly. Some older phones, as well as GSM modems and terminals will display each message in the sequence separately.

SMSWare Business Software Is Launched

A new software suite for sending SMS messages from your Windows LAN has been released. SMSWare Business combines a backend (MO Console) which sends the messages via a compatible GSM modem or phone, and a front end (Messenger) which allows users to quickly and easily manage contacts in a familiar address book metaphor.

Features: include long (concatenated) message support, delivery receipt notification and forwarding of inbound SMS messages.
